Business Operations Manager

Location: Remote

Status: Independent Contractor (1099)

About the Role

The Business Operations Manager is a role dedicated to supporting client accounts. Working alongside a Fractional COO, this role ensures the smooth execution of client deliverables, provides operational support, and manages day-to-day functions that keep client businesses running effectively.

This is a flexible role (10–40 hours per week depending on assignments), fully remote, with the opportunity to work across multiple industries and accounts.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a client-facing operator, managing daily business functions.

  1. Create and maintain KPI dashboards and weekly status reports.

  2. Support client onboarding and offboarding processes.

  3. Draft and review contracts, proposals, and project documents.

  4. Manage scheduling alignment across multiple client calendars.

  5. Conduct research, prepare reports, and provide operational insights.

  6. Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  7. Ensure client communications, tasks, and workflows remain cohesive.

  8. Project management of client projects across a variety of business functions and timelines.

  9. Act as the day to day operator of the business as needed

  10. Train internal client employees on new methods, processes, systems, etc.

Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following criteria to be eligible:

5+ years of experience in operations, project management, or business management roles.

  1. Proven ability to support executives and leadership teams in fast-paced environments.

  2. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

  3. Excellent written and verbal communication.

  4. Experience with KPI tracking, reporting, and workflow tools (Google Suite, project management platforms, etc.).

  5. Self-starter who thrives in remote/virtual environments.

  6. Demonstrated ability to deliver results with minimal supervision and follow up.
