Business Development and Account Management Executive

We're hiring our first dedicated Business Development & Account Executive to lead client acquisition and account management at On Call COO. This is a 1099 contractor role for an experienced business development professional who has personally owned the full sales cycle; from first conversation through close, and from signed contract through ongoing client relationship, without leaning on a BDR, sales admin, or account manager.
You'll take inbound consultation calls booked through our website, qualify prospects, build customized proposals, close engagements with founders of 7- and 8-figure businesses, and stay involved as the primary relationship owner for every active client. You're not just executing this function, you're building it: documenting playbooks, refining the qualification framework, and shaping how this discipline scales.

Inbound consultation calls and consultative discovery
Proposal development and contract execution
Pipeline and follow-up ownership in HubSpot
Account management, renewals, and scope expansion
Sales process documentation and playbook development
Representing the firm at industry events
You'll thrive in this role if you've lived operational challenges yourself, can sit peer-to-peer with a founder who's been running a business for a decade, and see building the function as part of the job, not a distraction from it.

We’re building a powerhouse bench of Fractional COOs to support founders through growth, scale, and operational transformation. This is a contract-based executive role for experienced operators who have already served as a Chief Operating Officer or Chief Strategy Officer for at least three years inside a company.
You’ll step into founder-led businesses that need structure, strategic leadership, and execution support. You may lead planning, build systems, oversee teams, optimize finances, or drive accountability across departments, always as a partner to the CEO.

We’re hiring a Business Operations Manager to support client accounts across On Call COO.
This is a 1099 contractor role (10–40 hours per week depending on client needs), ideal for someone who thrives in client-facing work and can bring structure, clarity, and execution to fast-moving businesses.
You’ll work directly with client leadership teams, supporting them with operational oversight, KPI dashboards, process improvements, and day-to-day management of business functions. You’ll be embedded in client accounts, acting as their go-to operator while collaborating with our Fractional COOs.
